Android scheduling setup checklist (reliable on all phones)

Do this once to keep TikTask reliable on Android: Accessibility, battery, alerts, and the OEM checks that matter for your phone.

setup reliability android battery-optimization permissions

If you want TikTask to run on time every day, do this checklist once.

Android phones try to save battery by stopping apps in the background. The goal here is simple: tell Android that TikTask is allowed to work on time.

Fastest method: System Monitor
Open TikTask → System Monitor. Tap any item that “needs attention” and TikTask will take you to the right settings screen. Enable it, then return to TikTask to see it turn ON. If asked, confirm you enabled it. If a button doesn’t open the exact page on your phone, use the manual steps mentioned below.

Checklist (do these in order)

1) Enable Accessibility (required)

This is what lets TikTask do actions inside apps (open WhatsApp, paste message, press send).

1. Turn TikTask Accessibility ON
Open TikTask → System Monitor → Tap Accessibility Service, then turn TikTask ON.
  • Manual path: Settings → Accessibility → Installed services (or Installed apps)
  • Turn TikTask ON

2) Set TikTask battery mode to Unrestricted (very important)

This prevents Android from delaying tasks.

1. Set battery to Unrestricted
Open TikTask → System Monitor → Tap Battery Monitor, then choose Unrestricted (or “Don’t optimize”).
  • Manual path: Settings → Apps → TikTask → Battery
  • Set to Unrestricted / No restrictions (or “Don’t optimize”)

3) Allow Auto-start / App Launch (if your phone has it)

Some phones hide a special switch that blocks schedules. Not all phones have this.

1. Enable Auto-start
Open TikTask → System Monitor → Tap Auto-Start Service, then turn TikTask ON.
  • Manual path: Search Settings for Auto-start or App Launch (check Power Manager if exists)
  • Enable it for TikTask
  • If you can’t find it, skip this step

Notifications help TikTask show status updates and warnings if something blocks a task.

1. Turn notifications ON
Open TikTask → System Monitor → Tap Notification Service, then enable notifications.
  • Manual path: Settings → Apps → TikTask → Notifications
  • Enable notifications

5) Allow “Display over other apps” (optional for on-screen alerts and timers)

This allows TikTask to show small on-screen alerts above other apps. Leave it off unless you use on-screen alerts or timers and TikTask asks for it.

1. Enable overlays
Open TikTask → System Monitor → Tap Draw Overlays Service, then turn TikTask ON.
  • Manual path: Settings → Apps → Special access → Display over other apps
  • Find TikTask and turn it ON

6) Complete OEM-specific checks only if System Monitor shows them

Some phones need extra checks like Xiaomi special permissions, Power Management, background battery restrictions, or Auto-start / Auto-launch. Only do these if System Monitor shows them or if your OEM guide tells you to.

  1. Create a test schedule for 2 minutes from now
  2. Lock your phone
  3. Wait and confirm it runs on time

Brand tip
If you use Xiaomi, Tecno, Infinix, OPPO, Realme, Vivo, Honor, Huawei, or OnePlus, follow the OEM guide for your phone if schedules are still late.

If schedules are still late after this checklist

  • Run one 2-minute test schedule with the phone locked.
  • Open System Monitor again and confirm every required item stays ON.
  • If your phone brand appears in the OEM guides, apply the brand-specific checks next instead of repeating the whole setup again.

FAQ

Do I need to enable every item in System Monitor? +
No. System Monitor is family-dependent. Only the checks relevant to your phone need attention.
Are notifications required for tasks to run? +
No. Notifications help TikTask show warnings and task status, but they are not the same as Accessibility or battery protection.
Do overlays make TikTask more reliable? +
No. Draw over other apps is mainly for on-screen alerts and timers. It is not the main reliability switch for automation.
What should I do after this checklist? +
Run a quick locked-screen test. If tasks are still late, open the reliability checklist or your OEM guide instead of changing random settings.
