📱 Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO (MIUI): keep TikTask running reliably
MIUI is aggressive with battery saving. Do these settings once so your schedules run on time.
Xiaomi phones are great, but MIUI is very aggressive with battery saving. That’s why scheduling apps can feel random unless you change a few settings.
Don’t worry, you only do this once. After that, TikTask becomes reliable.
What we’re fixing
- MIUI may stop apps from running in the background
- MIUI may delay or stop background scheduling
- Auto-start can be blocked after reboot
- Notifications may be limited or hidden
5-minute MIUI checklist (do in order)
1) Turn off Battery restrictions (most important)
Goal: set TikTask to No restrictions so MIUI doesn’t delay schedules.
2) Enable Auto-start (very important)
Goal: allow TikTask to start itself when needed (and after reboot).
3) Enable Xiaomi special permissions (important on many phones)
Goal: allow MIUI / HyperOS to keep TikTask visible and active in the background when needed. Wording varies by version.
Use System Monitor → Xiaomi special permissions if it appears for your phone, or go to Settings → Apps → Manage apps → TikTask → Other permissions, then turn ON:
4) Lock TikTask in Recent apps (small trick, big impact)
This prevents MIUI from killing TikTask too easily.
5) Make sure notifications are allowed (recommended)
Even if the task runs, you might miss alerts or status updates if notifications are limited.
Quick test (recommended)
- Create a test schedule for 2 minutes from now
- Lock your phone
- Wait and confirm it runs on time
If it’s still late on MIUI
- Temporarily disable Battery Saver mode while testing
- Double-check Settings → Battery → App battery saver and confirm TikTask is No restrictions
